Position Overview

The Staff Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end closings, and providing financial analysis to aid business decision-making. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end and year-end close processes accurately and on time
  • Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation and approvals
  • Perform daily transactions and bank reconciliations
  • Complete monthly general ledger account reconciliations
  • Analyze financial data and deliver variance reports to management
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based reports for financial analysis
  • Assist in preparing internal financial statements and reports
  • Support audits and special accounting projects
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
  • Provide support in manufacturing cost accounting when needed


Additional Responsibilities

  • Support the CFO and other members of the accounting team
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and special projects as needed
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with operational and industry-specific reporting
  • Be available for extended hours during peak periods


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Experience with inventory accounting and cost allocation is a plus
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations preferred
