We are seeking a motivated, collaborative professional with strong commercial insurance experience and partnerships within the manufacturing sector. This individual will lead the development and execution of a specialized manufacturing insurance program across the state of Michigan. This role combines relationship-building, underwriting consultation, claims insight, and market leadership to support both internal teams and agency partners.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key resource for commercial insurance products and services within the manufacturing sector, providing expertise on coverages, markets, and emerging risks.
  • Work closely with marketing representatives, agency staff, and internal teams to identify opportunities and support business development.
  • Assist with underwriting processes by evaluating risk, providing recommendations, and supporting program profitability.
  • Collaborate with claims teams and agency partners to support fair and efficient resolution of manufacturing-related claims.
  • Build strong relationships with carriers, industry contacts, and agency personnel to stay ahead of trends and enhance the manufacturing program.
  • Lead and participate in training sessions, association events, trade shows, and other networking opportunities to promote the program.
  • Monitor competitor activity, carrier appetite, and industry developments, sharing relevant insights across teams.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance, preferably with direct exposure to the manufacturing sector.
  • Working knowledge of property & casualty coverages, underwriting principles, and claims processes.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence outcomes across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Michigan Property & Casualty License (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Michigan.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
