Job Overview

Our client, a leading insurance organization in Eau Claire, is seeking skilled and motivated Benefits Account Managers. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in employee benefits who thrive in a collaborative, service-oriented environment. The Account Manager will work closely with a team of agents to deliver exceptional support to clients within either the group or individual benefits marketplace.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for day-to-day service issues
  • Act as liaison between clients and carriers
  • Track and manage open service items
  • Quote, analyze, and compare health and ancillary products
  • Manage renewal timelines
  • Prepare proposals and insurance summaries
  • Review policies and contracts for accuracy
  • Maintain agency management system documentation
  • Support producers with presentations
  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication


Role-Specific Focus

Employee Benefits Account Manager (Group)

  • Manage employer-sponsored group health and ancillary plans
  • Gather census and experience data
  • Coordinate marketing and renewal strategy
  • Assist with employee enrollment meetings

Benefits Account Manager (Individual)

  • Support Individual, Marketplace, and Medicare clients
  • Submit and track applications
  • Maintain AHIP and carrier certifications
  • Assist clients with plan comparisons and selections


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of health insurance experience
  • Experience in either group employee benefits or individual/Medicare products
  • Strong knowledge of quoting tools and renewal processes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office


License and Certification Requirements

  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Current Life & Health Resident Intermediary license (or ability to obtain as required by the State of Wisconsin).
