We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead a finance team and manage financial operations for multiple nonprofit association clients. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee accounting, budgeting, reporting, audits, and compliance while helping clients achieve their strategic goals.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead finance operations across multiple organizations, drive meaningful improvements, and partner with senior leaders on strategic initiatives; all in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a small finance team
• Oversee monthly financial statements, budgeting, and forecasts for multiple nonprofit clients
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Manage audits, tax filings, and financial transitions for clients
• Provide financial guidance and reporting for client leadership and board presentations
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:

• 7–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
• CPA required; MBA or CFA preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple client deliverables
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team
