Director, Transaction Advisory

Our client, a growing advisory firm, is seeking a Director to lead and expand their Transaction Advisory Services team. This role is a senior leadership position responsible for driving financial due diligence engagements for private equity firms and middle-market businesses, providing critical insights that inform strategic transactions. The Director will oversee complex engagements, manage and develop client relationships, and play a key role in the growth and success of the practice.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements, ensuring high-quality analysis and strategic insights for clients
  • Oversee complex financial assessments, including quality of earnings, net working capital analyses, and cash flow trends
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to private equity firms, corporate clients, and key stakeholders, providing strategic recommendations to drive successful transactions
  • Identify financial and operational risks and opportunities within target companies, guiding clients through key decision-making processes
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring a seamless advisory experience
  • Play a significant role in business development, including origination, proposal development, and expanding client relationships
  • Drive process improvements and innovation within the Transaction Advisory practice to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Mentor, coach, and develop a team of professionals, fostering a high-performance, growth-oriented culture
  • Stay abreast of market trends, M&A activity, and regulatory changes, positioning the firm as a thought leader in the space


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in financial due diligence, transaction advisory, or M&A consulting, ideally within a Big 4 or national advisory firm
  • CPA, CFA, or other relevant certification preferred
  • Proven leadership experience in managing complex engagements and leading high-performing teams
  • Deep expertise in financial analysis, including quality of earnings, working capital, and cash flow assessments
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence C-suite executives and investors
  • Demonstrated ability to originate new business, expand client relationships, and drive revenue growth
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple engagements and meet tight deadlines
  • Highly entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for growing a practice and driving innovation
