We are seeking a full-time science teacher with experience and knowledge of the
following subjects: High School Biology, Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and Middle School
General Science (Physical).
We are seeking a full-time mathematics teacher with experience and knowledge of the
following subjects: High School Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, AP Physics.
Part-time interest is also encouraged to apply.
In this role, your responsibilities will include preparation, teaching, classroom management, record
keeping (including regular use of our school information system), assessments, and report cards.
You will be expected to collaborate with our Learning Specialist and School Counselor to
understand and implement the accommodations found in each student’s Learning Profile.
As a member of the FlexSchool staff and community, you will also be expected to:
● Help to create and maintain a culture of respect, challenge, support, and care for all
FlexSchool students.
● Teach a minimum of 5 classes per trimester, meeting Monday through Thursday. These
classes will be discussed with you, but may change to reflect the needs and enrollment
of the school. In addition, teach/support up to two FlexTime classes.
● Friday responsibilities will include teaching electives and supervision of students during
Town Hall and FlexFriday programs.
● Maintain timely, accurate, and considerate communication with students and parents,
including consistent, up to date assignment posts, grades, and syllabus in the School's
SIS, as well as Google Classroom.
● Participate in regular faculty meetings and professional development activities as a
means of growing your craft, supporting your students, and contributing to the growth
and well-being of FlexSchool.
● Prepare necessary paperwork for PLAAFPs, IEP meetings, ADHD/ASD teacher
reports, and college recommendations, among others. Attend relevant and necessary IEP
and articulation meetings.
● Prepare for and attend back-to-school night, parent-teacher conferences, and
graduation
● Create and adhere to a clear course syllabus that outlines Course Requirements and
student expectations (including Lab Requirements as applicable by subject) to be
submitted for approval by the Head of School
● Submit lesson plans weekly through Google Drive
Participate in formal and informal collaborative teaching observations
● Report all significant student concerns to the Head of School and collaborate on an
action plan when appropriate
● Attend to individual student needs and the larger social dynamic, particularly during
downtimes, to assist with supervision or student intervention when necessary
● Lead an advisory group daily, comprising several students to be determined. You
will assist these students in their academic and executive functioning goals and serve
as a conduit for communication among teachers, parents, and the School.
● Report to school by 7:45 am and plan to leave at 4:00 pm. There may be days when
you can leave earlier, with approval from the Head of School, but we expect that
all full-time teachers will be on campus until 4:00 pm.
● Work during 1 school event (up to 6 hours) outside regular school hours per trimester.

FlexSchool reserves the right to assign employees based on staffing needs.
● Perform other duties as outlined by the Head of School, including but not limited to,
lunch and dismissal duty.
● Contribute to certain administrative and curricular tasks as needed.
● If weather or other crises dictate that your campus is closed for more than one day,
teachers will teach all classes online for the duration of the weather event.
