POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Support Analyst will be assisting with maintaining day-to-day computer operations of MasTec Canada, in addition to long-term planning and development of computer operations.

Preference will be given to candidates LOCAL to Grande Prairie and surrounding areas.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide deskside support, assisting with hardware and software issues
  • Provide knowledgeable technical support and troubleshooting guidance pertaining to internet, laptop, phone, tablet and computer issues
  • Field incoming help requests from end users in local and remote locations in a courteous manner
  • Document technical problems and history through Service Now
  • Assist in preparing, revising and maintaining procedures and related documentation
  • Provide training on the operations and functionality of various applications, printers, and systems
  • Identify and participate in key process improvements as they relate to the service desk
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and provision new and replacement equipment as needed
  • Participate in systems testing and patch management
  • Maintain asset database with high levels of accuracy
  • Provide mobile telecommunications support for Android and Apple products, and act as a liaison with the Telco's as required
  • All other duties as assigned


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field is preferred, however, a combination of professional certification and/or experience will be considered
  • 5+ years of hands on help desk experience required
  • Experience working in industrial construction project environments an asset
  • Strong background in Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10 & 11), computer imaging (SCCM) and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Office 365 including Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint required
