POSITION SUMMARY:

MasTec Purnell Canada is currently looking for a B-Pressure/Structural Welder to conduct various fabrication tasks in MasTec Purnell's shop.

Preference will be given to candidates LOCAL to Grande Prairie and surrounding areas.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous facility welding experience
• Alberta B Pressure tickets
• CWB - SMAW/FCAW/MCAW
• First Aid
• H2S Alive
• CSO

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Purnell Canada’s 6 Core Values
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Safety Tickets
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Ability to identify and report hazards
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules
• Ambitious, pro-active, high-energy, positive attitude and team player
