Our client is searching for a Project Manager with an HR background! This role will be a remote, 6 month + contract (preferably in Orlando or Atlanta area).
Responsibilities
- Develop project scope and objectives, evaluate delivery options, and prepare documentation and plans.
- Team governance: working with 3rd party vendor and internal leadership and closely with HR
- Internal and external stakeholders.
- Define, deliver, and monitor requirements.
- Ensure proper use of quality control procedures.
- Establish delivery team working methods.
- Create schedules and work packages for the delivery team.
- Manage the transition of the solution to business-as-usual support.
- Build effective business relationships.
- Advise on relevant standards, methods, tools, and applications.
- This individual will be joining a project requiring governance and structure. They will need to understand the team’s way or working, provide guidance, and add valuable change to scope in budget and team governance.
- Ability to implement and manage changes in HR processes, guidelines, and project timelines
- Manage risks, implement meeting cadences.
- Communication skills are very important. Working closely with 3rd party partner, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong conflict management, negotiation, and influence skills.
- A background with HR knowledge would be nice to have, however, not required.
Desirable Qualifications/Skills
- General project management skills; experience in "people solutions" (training, content) is a plus.
- Significant experience in project roles, with 5+ years managing or influencing staff and projects.
- Proven success in improving customer experience.
- Experience in a matrix structure.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s desirable.
- PMP is desirable but not necessary.
- Experience in managing processes, mitigating risks, and directing timelines.
- Strategic planning skills.
- Effective communication across different teams.
- Experience with third-party management.
- HR/training content implementation experience is helpful.
- Ability to communicate with internal leadership and outside vendors.
Required Knowledge
Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Use customer and stakeholder feedback to measure effectiveness.
- Implement a communications strategy to manage complaints, issues, and resolutions.
Project Management
- Fully manage medium-scale projects (6-12 months) including costs, schedule, resources, risks, quality, and change management.
- Lead the project team and address performance issues.
Third-Party Supplier Relationship Management
- Develop and manage supplier contracts, ensuring performance and security.
- Benchmark and review supplier performance, implementing service improvements as needed.
Key Challenges/Decision Making
- Speed of delivery, managing stakeholders across regions (US, CAN, LATAM), and collaborating with external consultants.
- Accountable for meeting technical and project objectives.
- Influence resource allocation and project responsibilities.
- Make impactful decisions on project success, deadlines, and budgets.
- Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders with diverse objectives.
KPIs
- Metrics related to role effectiveness.
- Alignment of HR programs with business strategic goals.
- Quality of output (customer and user satisfaction).
