Position Overview:
We are seeking a personable and detail-oriented individual to join our Fortune 500 client as a Switchboard Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for answering and routing incoming phone calls efficiently and professionally. Additionally, you will assist with various clerical tasks as assigned by the manager. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in office, clerical, or reception roles and must be reliable and punctual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally using a multi-line switchboard system.
- Direct calls to appropriate individuals or departments within the organization.
- Take accurate messages and ensure timely delivery to recipients.
- Greet visitors and provide basic information or direct them accordingly.
- Assist with clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry as needed.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in an office, reception, or customer service role required.
- Proficient in using multi-line phone systems and basic office equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet navigation).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Schedule and Hours:
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Monday to Friday schedule
Shifts available:
- 6:50 am - 3:20 pm CT
- 8:30 am - 5:00 pm CT
- 9:30 am - 6:00 pm CT
- Additional hours or schedule adjustments may be required based on business needs.
