Urogynecologist

Women with pelvic floor disorders need a physician who restores function, dignity, and confidence—not just a diagnosis. In this role you will lead complex urogynecologic care, from first consult through recovery, so patients leave with a clear plan and measurable improvement in continence, comfort, and quality of life. Your judgment will shape surgical outcomes, clinic standards, and how a multidisciplinary team treats pelvic health.

Performance Objectives

  • Build and sustain a referral-ready urogynecology practice that meets volume, access, and patient-experience targets within the first year.
  • Evaluate and treat urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, fistula, and related pelvic floor disorders with evidence-based medical, procedural, and surgical plans.
  • Perform reconstructive and minimally invasive pelvic surgery with outcomes that meet or exceed peer benchmarks for complications, readmissions, and functional recovery.
  • Lead preoperative counseling so patients understand options, risks, and expected results, and document shared decisions that reduce cancellations and regret.
  • Coordinate care with urogynecology nurses, pelvic floor physical therapy, urology, gynecology, and primary care so transitions are timely and complete.
  • Improve clinic flow, OR utilization, and follow-up completion by standardizing pathways for common conditions.
  • Contribute to quality review, case conference, and protocol updates that raise safety and consistency across the service.

Environment & Resources

You will practice within a physician-led pelvic health team, with dedicated clinic support, OR block time, and access to urodynamics, cystoscopy, and pelvic floor therapy. Reporting is to the service or medical director for clinical quality and to practice leadership for schedule and growth. You will have the staff, imaging, and perioperative resources required to manage both office-based and operative care—not a solo practice without infrastructure.

Essential Qualifications

  • MD or DO with board certification or active eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Urology, plus fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
  • Unrestricted state medical license (or eligibility) and current DEA registration.
  • Demonstrated independent performance of vaginal, laparoscopic or robotic, and abdominal pelvic reconstructive procedures.
  • Proven ability to run a consultative clinic, interpret urodynamic studies, and manage perioperative complications.
  • Clear communication with patients and referring clinicians, and a record of collaborative, low-drama teamwork.

Role Selling Points

  • A focused pelvic medicine practice—not a generalist schedule diluted by unrelated call.
  • Real operative volume and a team already built around continence and prolapse care.
  • Authority to refine pathways, not just fill a template.
  • A placement built around fit, longevity, and clinical success rather than a one-time fill.

If you want your next chapter measured by patients who regain control of their lives, apply with your CV and a short note on the outcomes you are proudest of.
