Data Warehouse Engineer - Business Intelligence

My Northeastern Ohio client has experienced growth within their Business Intelligence/Data team, Downtown and well recognized in their space is looking to add a Data Warehouse Engineer. The team is very collaborative and spends most of their time coming up with great solutions to help the business. A keen sense of reports development using SQL, ETL, business and data analysis is a requirement. SQL Server and typical packaged tools experience will win the day. Reports development tools/platforms such as SSIS, SSRS, and MS tools are required. If you have database development and reports development using the tools and scripting stated earlier, then you will get an interview. They are willing to consider both entry/mid level and senior level candidates with great communication skills.

Essential Functions

• Design and develop ETL processes to support population of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and general data movement needs
• Design, develop, and implement key reporting artifacts
• Support implemented DW/BI solutions by monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance and communicating functional and technical issues
• Evolve the Enterprise Data Warehouse by working with IT management to develop a strategic roadmap for Data Warehousing and BI
• Mentors DW/BI staff and provides feedback and guidance
• Plans complex DW/BI implementations and serves as Project Lead

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong analytical skills to solve and model complex business requirements
• Expert Level understanding of BI Best Practices/Methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques
