Location: East Hartford, Connecticut

Job Type: 1-Month Contract Assignment

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM–3:00 PM

Shift: 1st Shift


Assignment Details

This is a short-term, one-month assignment in East Hartford, Connecticut and is best suited for someone who can quickly step into a laboratory environment and contribute with minimal ramp-up time.


Position Overview

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician for a one-month contract assignment in East Hartford, Connecticut. This position will perform routine laboratory testing and support day-to-day laboratory operations using conventional and computerized laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow established testing procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.


Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory tests and other laboratory work according to prescribed procedures and standards
  • Conduct routine testing to determine the chemical and physical characteristics or composition of materials and samples
  • Prepare, handle, and organize samples for laboratory testing
  • Set up, operate, readjust, and monitor laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Utilize both conventional and computerized laboratory equipment and work aids
  • Accurately record and document laboratory test results
  • Follow established testing methods, procedures, and quality standards
  • Identify unusual test results or equipment issues and communicate them appropriately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment
  • Follow all applicable laboratory safety procedures and company policies


Qualifications

  • Two years of post-secondary education in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Laboratory Science, or a related technical/scientific field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant laboratory experience may be considered
  • Previous experience in a chemical, industrial, quality control, or manufacturing laboratory is preferred
  • Experience operating laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Comfortable working with computerized laboratory systems and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established testing procedures
  • Ability to accurately document testing activities and results
