Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior IT Developer to join the Shared Data Platform team. This role is pivotal in collaborating with customers, business analysts, and team members to design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle Cloud applications. The Senior IT Developer will be responsible for researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle to meet business goals and adhere to organizational standards.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
- Acquire and interpret business requirements, create functional specifications, and determine the most efficient technologies.
- Research and improve current coding standards and development techniques.
- Submit and review technical and process improvement recommendations.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to plan new features and suggest solutions.
- Support the entire application lifecycle from concept to release and support.
- Foster a culture of innovation and creative thinking.
Acquisition & Deployment:
- Possess strong functional knowledge in Product Information Management/Customer Information Management (Customer Data Hub).
- Perform analysis of business models and customer requirements to design and build internet solutions.
- Estimate project tasks and lead brainstorming activities.
- Perform complex programming assignments and mitigate significant project risks.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure shared use of standard tools and processes.
- Communicate effectively through natural language and clear, concise code.
Operational Management:
- Manage and prioritize workload between projects and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain and modify web applications, documenting changes and developing programming logic.
- Provide support for critical web application issues and act as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Train and mentor other developers, fostering cross-functional and collaborative team capabilities.
Incidental Functions:
- Conduct research into new technologies and share knowledge with development teams.
- Mentor and coach developers and apprentices.
- Manage projects and tasks, making presentations to management and clients as needed.
- Provide tier 2, on-call support for critical application problems.
- Participate in hiring activities and ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity policies.
Qualifications:
Formal Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience:
- 5+ years of IT experience.
- Strong technical knowledge in Product Data Hub/Customer Data Hub modules.
- Experience in at least one cloud implementation.
- Experience integrating with ERP systems (Oracle E-Business, SAP, etc.).
- Expertise in building Java/JavaScript-based applications and system integrations.
- Strong knowledge in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) development.
- Experience in a Lean or Agile development environment is a plus.
- Proficiency with presentation and communication tools such as MS PowerPoint and Visio.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with SoapUI or similar web service testing tools.
- Proficiency in developing jQuery/Angular/React/ADF/APEX applications.
- Experience with Oracle JET, Visual Builder Cloud services, and Process Builder Cloud services.
- Familiarity with version control and software configuration management tools such as Subversion, Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and HP Project and Portfolio Management (PPM).
- Oracle Certification.
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.
- Experience working as part of an enterprise development team.
