Tax Senior Manager | Corporate Tax

Rockville, MD (Hybrid)

150k to 185k base

I’m partnering with a well established national accounting and advisory firm that is looking to add a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to their Rockville office. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys true client ownership, leading a team, and working in a collaborative environment with a clear path to Director.

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert for corporate tax clients and advise on planning, trends, and complex issues

• Lead and review engagement deliverables including corporate tax returns, ASC 740 work, provisions, and workpapers

• Oversee multiple client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on day to day matters

• Manage and develop staff while fostering a positive, team oriented environment

• Participate in proposals, client presentations, and cross serving efforts to help identify new opportunities

• Create and manage engagement budgets and take ownership of billing and realization

• Collaborate with firm leadership on internal initiatives and process improvements

• Additional responsibilities as needed

What you need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• CPA required

• 8 or more years of corporate tax experience in public accounting

• 5 or more years leading and supervising staff

• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines

• Strong communication skills across all levels, internal and external

• Solid experience with relevant tax technology

• Ability to travel as needed
