Position: Mid-Senior Level Trademark Attorney

Location: Fully Remote (Firm based in Washington, DC)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET

Compensation: Starting base rate at $150,000 (commensurate with portable book of business) + Bonus Eligible

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Senior Level Trademark Attorney with at least 5 years of experience in U.S. and international trademark law. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with a client-first mindset and entrepreneurial energy, who enjoys being part of a collaborative and high-performing team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios for a variety of clients
  • Conduct trademark clearance searches and provide risk assessments
  • Prepare and prosecute trademark applications before the USPTO
  • Handle enforcement matters, including TTAB proceedings (drafting motions, oppositions, and cancellations)
  • Supervise paralegal work and oversee some docketing tasks
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and staff in a fully remote environment
  • Advise clients on brand protection strategies and enforcement options
  • Maintain and grow your portable book of business
  • Eligible to take on additional managerial or leadership roles within the firm

 

Qualifications

  • J.D. and admission in good standing to at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trademark law, including prosecution, clearance, and enforcement
  • Prior big law trademark department experience highly preferred
  • USPTO and TTAB experience required (please include writing sample if applicable)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to delivering business-focused legal advice
  • Portable business required; salary will be proportionate to size of book
