Join a Firm Where Family Law Meets Purpose, Performance, and People-First Culture

At the Law Office of Chris Schmiedeke, PC, we believe in doing work that matters—together.

We operate on a hybrid schedule: Mondays and Fridays are remote, giving you flexibility to recharge and plan, while Tuesdays through Thursdays we lock arms in the office, collaborating face-to-face to move our clients—and their lives—forward.

Every attorney here is backed by dedicated legal assistants and paralegals, so you can focus on being the lawyer you worked so hard to become. We cap caseloads intentionally (average of 30 active matters per attorney) to prioritize quality over quantity and to ensure meaningful impact in each case.

We're a growth-minded, litigation-ready team that prepares every case like it’s going to trial—even though most of them settle. That’s how we deliver outcomes that matter without losing the human touch.

Rooted in Dallas, we live by our mantra: Divorce Simplified. Our goal is simple—no client ever walks alone.

We’re seeking a Family Law Attorney who:

  • Thrives in a collaborative, systems-driven environment
  • Has strong courtroom and client communication skills.
  • Is ready to grow with a team that consistently exceeds its goals—and has fun doing it.

If you’re looking for a long-term role where you can build your reputation, grow your income, and make a difference in clients’ lives, this is your home.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage a steady caseload with support (average 130 billable hours/month)
  • Handle discovery, motions, and depositions with precision
  • Appear for Zoom and in-person hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Lead client strategy sessions with clarity and empathy
  • Advise and negotiate outcomes in divorce, custody, and modification matters
  • Participate in potential client consultations
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism

What You Bring:

  • Active license to practice in Texas and in good standing
  • A commutable distance to North Dallas
  • Courtroom experience and strategic litigation skills
  • Commitment to solving problems, not creating them
  • Strong writing, organization, and follow-through
  • Growth mindset with the drive to continuously improve
  • Emotional intelligence, resilience, and professionalism in all interactions

Perks and Culture:

  • Competitive compensation with performance-based bonuses
  • Team-wide support to hit (and exceed) monthly goals
  • Paid CLEs and professional dues
  • Flex hours and remote work capabilities post-onboarding
  • A vibrant, supportive, and purpose-driven team
