About the Company


We are a growing professional services business that works with a mix of independent contractors and one employee based in Colorado. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the company’s day-to-day financial operations and keep our books accurate and up to date.


Responsibilities

  • Record and reconcile all financial transactions in QuickBooks
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (invoicing, collections, payment tracking)
  • Manage Accounts Payable (vendor bills, contractor payments, expense tracking)
  • Process payroll and contractor payments (1099 compliance and one W-2 employee in CO)
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
  • Support preparation of tax filings by maintaining clean and organized financial records
  • Assist with budget tracking and expense management
  • Provide financial reporting to support owner’s decision-making
  • Implement and manage a Profit First cash management system (with guidance from owner)


Qualifications

  • Proven bookkeeping experience for small businesses (ideally $500K–$2M revenue range)
  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (Online preferred)
  • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll processes
  • Understanding of contractor (1099) and employee (W-2) payroll requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with business owners and outside tax professionals
  • Familiarity with Profit First methodology a plus
