Our Employment Law Firm in Los Angeles is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Word Processor / Legal Secretary to provide administrative and document support to our Senior Associate attorneys. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, organization, and supporting legal teams through strong writing, formatting, and clerical skills.


About the Role:

 As a Word Processor / Legal Secretary, you will support Senior Associates with document preparation, case-related correspondence, and day-to-day administrative tasks. You will not be supporting Partners or firm leadership directly, but instead will work closely with multiple attorneys to ensure their work is accurate, timely, and professionally presented.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, edit, format, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and reports.
  • Maintain consistency in formatting, citations, and templates across firm documents.
  • Prepare letters, emails, and client communications from attorney drafts.
  • Organize and manage electronic case files and documents.
  • Assist with basic case administration, including filing, calendaring deadlines, and tracking tasks.
  • Handle routine administrative tasks such as scanning, copying, saving, and distributing documents.
  • Coordinate with Senior Associates to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and firm information at all times.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary, Word Processor, or Administrative Assistant in a law firm or professional office.
  • Strong typing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word and document formatting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and support multiple attorneys efficiently.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with legal documents and terminology preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting Salary: $6 (depending on experience).
