Project Planner

Location: Gloucester – Hybrid (1-2 days per week onsite)

Arca Resourcing is supporting a growing specialist engineering business in Gloucester operating within the UK energy and infrastructure sector to appoint a Project Planner.

This opportunity is open to individuals at varying levels of experience, from junior through to more established planners. You do not need to come from an energy or utilities background, candidates from construction, manufacturing, engineering, or other project-based environments are encouraged to apply.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will support both live project delivery and tendering activities, with particular emphasis on:

• Developing and maintaining project programmes
• Updating programmes to reflect progress, risks, and changes
• Supporting Project Managers with planning, reporting, and recovery planning
• Assisting in identifying critical path activities and programme constraints
• Coordinating programme alignment across design, procurement, and construction
• Supporting tender programme development for bids and proposals
• Contributing to programme-linked financial forecasting and reporting

About You

• Experience in a Planner, Assistant Planner, or project support role
• Exposure to project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar)
• Understanding of project delivery within a project-based environment
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative
