Quantity Surveyor (Commercial & Contracts)

Location: Gloucester (Hybrid 2-3 days onsite per week)

Arca Resourcing is supporting a growing specialist engineering business in Gloucester operating within the UK energy and infrastructure sector to appoint a Quantity Surveyor.

This opportunity is open to individuals ranging from junior through to intermediate level. You do not need to come from a utilities background — candidates from construction, engineering, infrastructure, or other contract-led environments are encouraged to apply.

A working knowledge of NEC4 contracts is essential for this role.

The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will support the commercial and contractual management across the business, with particular emphasis on:

• Supporting the management and administration of client and subcontractor contracts
• Assisting with NEC4 contract processes, including early warnings and compensation events
• Ensuring contractual documentation, insurances, and compliance records are accurate and up to date
• Supporting contract reviews, amendments, and governance processes
• Working with internal teams to ensure contractual obligations are understood and delivered
• Maintaining organised records of contracts and commercial documentation
• Supporting risk identification and ensuring appropriate commercial controls are in place

About You

• Experience in a Quantity Surveyor, Assistant QS, or commercial role
• Working knowledge of NEC4 contracts (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Commercially aware with a structured and methodical approach
• Confident communicator, able to work with internal teams and external stakeholders
