We’re partnering with a fast-growing, design-led consumer products business to find a Designer to join their creative team, to working across product and packaging for some of the world’s most recognisable names in entertainment.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused design role with real ownership. You’ll manage projects end-to-end from brief and concept, through to final artwork approval and sampling, working closely with international Licensors, suppliers, and the Production team to ensure designs are delivered on time, on brand, and to a high standard. This role would suit an experienced and creative designer who enjoys working with leading brands, and balancing creativity with commercial reality.
Key responsibilities include:
Brand & Creative Ownership
- Deliver brand-led design across product, packaging, and licensed ranges
- Ensure all work aligns with brand guidelines, licensor style guides, and trend requirements
- Develop bespoke concepts and artwork that reflect licensor brand values while meeting commercial objectives
- Act as a brand guardian, maintaining consistency and quality across all outputs
- Use trend research to inform relevant, forward-thinking designs, balancing creativity with commercial viability and retail considerations
Artworking & Design Execution
- Design new product concepts, flat artworks, packaging, mock-ups, and presentation materials
- Produce accurate, print-ready artwork, ensuring correctness of copy, barcodes, die cuts, imagery, and style guide rules. Create and apply artwork to cutter guides and style guides
- Manage licensor feedback, implement amendments, and prepare files for sampling and production
- Liaise with Product Development and suppliers to confirm print proofs and sampling readiness
Project & Task Management
- Take ownership of briefs from concept through to final artwork approval and sampling
- Collaborate closely with Creative, Licensing, Production, and Sales teams
- Liaise directly with Licensing teams and external licensors on approvals and style guides
- Send artwork to factories for sampling and production, review production samples
- Maintain regular communication with overseas partners to support smooth workflows
Skills & requirements:
- Strong design and artworking skills, with the ability to deliver production-ready artwork
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), and MS Office inc. Excel
- Experience working with licensed product would be ideal
- Skilled in producing style guides and cutter guides
- Experience working with Far East suppliers and factories
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational, communication, and time-management skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable managing deadlines independently
