The Role
Happy Jobs NI is delighted to be representing a well-established and respected training and education provider that delivers industry-recognised qualifications across construction and skilled trades. Due to continued organisational growth and the onboarding of new employer clients, they are expanding their delivery team and are now looking to recruit a Joinery Tutor.
While full-time is preferred, candidates seeking a part-time opportunity are also encouraged to get in touch to discuss flexible working options.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Joiner, Carpenter, Bench Joiner or Site Carpenter who is passionate about passing on their skills and supporting the next generation of tradespeople. The role would also suit candidates currently working as a Joinery Trainer, Carpentry Instructor, Workshop Supervisor or Apprenticeship Mentor who are looking to move into a structured tutoring and assessment role within the training and education sector.
You don’t need to be an experienced tutor to apply; however, previous experience as a tutor, trainer or assessor would be highly desirable. Candidates with experience supervising apprentices, mentoring junior staff or delivering on-the-job training are strongly encouraged to apply, as full support and development can be provided.
The role involves delivering practical and theory-based training and assessment for joinery and carpentry qualifications from Level 1 to Level 3, including supporting learners on funded apprenticeship programmes. You will play a key role in the delivery and ongoing support of apprentices and the apprenticeship scheme, working closely with employers to ensure learners progress successfully.
Delivery will take place within training centres, workshop environments and employer premises, using a blend of practical, classroom and workplace-based learning. Travel across Northern Ireland is required.
