The Opportunity

This firm is seeking a SALT Senior with a focus on income and franchise tax to join a high-performing, collaborative team. This is a fully remote role that provides the ability to work on complex, multi-state engagements while benefiting from a supportive environment that prioritizes career development and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review state income and franchise tax returns for multi-state clients
• Assist with state tax provisions and ASC 740 calculations
• Perform multi-state tax research and provide technical insights
• Support nexus studies, apportionment analysis, and tax planning strategies
• Work closely with Managers and Partners on client engagements
• Stay current on changes in state and local tax laws and regulations

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of State & Local Tax experience, specifically in income and franchise tax
• Background in public accounting preferred
• Strong understanding of multi-state tax concepts (nexus, apportionment, etc.)
• CPA or CPA eligibility strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
