Senior Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)

Location: Fully Remote (U.S. Based)

We're working with an established and growing IT Solutions Provider seeking a Senior Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer to join its fully remote engineering team.

This role is responsible for supporting enterprise and mid-market clients across a variety of Microsoft infrastructure environments. You'll leverage your technical expertise to design, implement, maintain, and optimize Microsoft solutions while partnering directly with customers to solve complex infrastructure challenges and deliver long-term technology solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Microsoft engineer who enjoys working across diverse customer environments rather than supporting a single internal infrastructure. You'll have the opportunity to lead infrastructure projects, work with a broad range of Microsoft technologies, and build long-term relationships with customers while serving as a trusted technical advisor.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and support Microsoft infrastructure solutions across enterprise and mid-market customer environments.
• Architect, deploy, and maintain Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and related infrastructure services.
• Lead Microsoft infrastructure initiatives including Active Directory modernization, hybrid identity, server migrations, endpoint management, and Microsoft 365 projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Microsoft infrastructure, identity, and networking issues.
• Perform system maintenance including patch management, upgrades, backup validation, and disaster recovery planning.
• Implement security best practices to improve the availability, performance, and security of Microsoft environments.
• Work directly with customers to assess existing environments, develop technical recommendations, and deliver infrastructure solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with networking, cloud, security, and engineering teams on larger customer initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation while contributing to engineering standards and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of Microsoft Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Experience working for a VAR, MSP or IT Consulting Firm supporting multiple customer environments is strongly preferred.
• Deep experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Exchange (On-Prem & Online), Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP in enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting hybrid Microsoft infrastructure and identity environments.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and modernization projects.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing consulting skills.
• Microsoft certifications are a plus.
