Remote Tax Director – High Net Worth / Trust & Estate

We’re a nearly 100-year-old, independently owned CPA and advisory firm based in the Washington, D.C. area trying to find a skilled Tax Director/ Senior Tax Manager with deep experience serving high net worth individuals and estate/trust clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage and review tax returns for high net worth individuals, trusts, and estates
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services related to estate and wealth transfer
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentor and support the growth of junior team members
  • Participate in business development and client retention initiatives
  • Stay current on evolving tax laws impacting HNW and estate planning clients


What We’re Looking For

  • 10–12 + years of public accounting experience, with a primary focus on HNW and Trust & Estate work
  • CPA or EA certification required
  • J.D nice to have
  • Proficiency with CCH software
  • Experience with final review and Sign offs
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Experience from regional or mid-sized firms preferred
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-entity, and generational tax scenarios


Compensation & Benefits

  • Reasonable Billable Hour Target – 1,300–1,600 annually
