100% Remote Senior Audit Manager | Independent Boutique CPA Firm | Affordable Housing & NPO
Location: 100% Remote (California-based candidates preferred)
Compensation: Up to $205,000 base + discretionary bonus + signing bonus available
Requirements: 8+ years public accounting audit experience | Affordable housing or NPO background required | CPA required
We are an independently owned, full-service CPA and advisory firm with nearly 90 years of history serving clients across California and nationally. Built around deep client relationships and a quality-first approach, we have developed nationally recognized depth in affordable housing and nonprofit audit — and we are hiring a Senior Audit Manager to help lead that practice.
This is not a generalist firm that dabbles in the sector. Affordable housing and nonprofit audit is a core part of what we do, which means the technical depth, the client relationships, and the complexity of the work are all there from day one.
We are transitioning to a fully remote model and are building our future as a distributed team — with the culture and infrastructure to support it.

What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of public accounting audit experience with a proven track record of leading audit teams
- 5+ years of experience managing and supervising audit staff
- Meaningful affordable housing and/or nonprofit audit experience required — this is the differentiator for this role
- CPA required
- Ability to manage all aspects of an audit engagement — planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up
- Strong client relationship management skills — you are the primary point of contact on engagements
- Comfortable managing multiple engagements and competing deadlines simultaneously
- Self-directed and comfortable operating in a fully remote environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
What We Offer
- Base salary up to $205,000, commensurate with experience and location
- Discretionary bonus paid July and December
