Audit Senior - Nonprofit Clients (100% Remote)

Location: Fully Remote (U.S. Based)

Compensation: $85,000 – $115,000 base + bonus + full benefits

We are a nationally recognized public accounting firm with over 100 professionals across the country. Our team provides audit, accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse client base that includes construction, manufacturing, real estate, technology, professional services, high-net-worth individuals, and nonprofit organizations.

As we continue to expand our Nonprofit Audit practice, we are hiring an experienced Audit Senior who enjoys working with mission-driven organizations and taking ownership of engagements.

This role is fully remote and primarily focused on nonprofit clients, with exposure to other industries as needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and execute nonprofit audit engagements from planning through completion
• Perform risk assessments and oversee audit fieldwork
• Evaluate internal controls and identify areas for improvement
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with applicable auditing standards and nonprofit-specific regulations
• Communicate findings clearly with clients and firm leadership
• Review work prepared by staff and provide mentorship
• Keep Managers and Partners updated on engagement progress
• Stay current on nonprofit accounting and regulatory developments

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA licensed or actively pursuing (at least one section passed preferred)
• 3+ years of public accounting audit experience
• Direct nonprofit audit experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of auditing standards and internal controls
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a remote setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
