Audit Manager | NFP & Single Audit | Independent CPA Firm | Remote

Location: Fully Remote (Northeast preferred | 2–3 office visits per year required)

Compensation: Up to $175,000 base + up to $20,000 performance bonus

Requirements: 6+ years public accounting audit experience | Single Audit / Uniform Guidance required | CPA required

We are a well-established, independently owned accounting and advisory firm headquartered in the Northeast — one of the largest and most recognized practices in our region, with a national reputation built entirely through organic growth and a people-first culture that has been in place since the beginning.

We are hiring an Audit Manager with deep NFP and Single Audit experience to join a growing practice that is seeing a meaningful influx of nonprofit clients. You will work directly alongside a dedicated NFP Audit Principal who specializes exclusively in this space, bringing real mentorship and technical depth to the role from day one.

This is not a role for someone with surface-level Uniform Guidance exposure. Single Audit is where most candidates have fallen short here — and it is the differentiator we are hiring for.

• Fully Remote With Flexibility — Remote candidates are welcome and supported. The only ask is 2–3 office visits per year for key firm events and meetings — all expenses covered

What We Are Looking For

• Active CPA required
• 6+ years of public accounting audit experience
• Deep Single Audit and Uniform Guidance experience required — surface-level exposure is not sufficient for this role
• Meaningful NFP audit experience across a range of entity types — community nonprofits, larger organizations, quasi-government, schools, colleges, and/or EBPs
• Regional or mid-size firm background strongly preferred — Big 4 candidates tend not to be the right fit for the variety and client ownership required here
• Experience managing audit engagements end-to-end and supervising audit teams
• Genuinely flexible on remote — willing to visit the office 2–3 times per year
