Senior / Lead Pre-Sales Solutions Architect – Enterprise Networking

A leading technology solutions provider focused on digital transformation, Cloud & Data Center, Cybersecurity, and AI is hiring a Senior / Lead Pre-Sales Solutions Architect (Enterprise Networking) to support enterprise customers across the New Jersey / Metro NYC region.
This is a highly visible, high-impact role supporting complex, multi-million-dollar enterprise architectures and strategic pursuits. There is a clear path to grow into a Player-Coach or Regional Director–level role as the territory scales.
Role:
You will act as a trusted technical advisor and lead architect to enterprise customers, partnering closely with Account Executives to drive technical strategy and win complex deals.
This role is focused on modern enterprise network architecture, including data center, campus, and WAN transformation initiatives.
You’ll operate in a primarily remote capacity, with targeted travel for key client engagements, whiteboarding sessions, and executive presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical lead on enterprise opportunities, aligning internal teams, OEM partners, and client stakeholders
- Lead pre-sales strategy, architecture, and solution design across complex enterprise environments
- Design and present modern network architectures across data center, campus, and WAN
- Act as a design authority for large-scale enterprise accounts and strategic pursuits
- Drive customer-facing discovery, translating business objectives into technical solutions
- Develop architecture documentation, proposals, and solution frameworks
- Lead and support proofs of concept, demos, and technical validations
- Advise clients on future-state architecture, roadmaps, and transformation strategies
- Partner with post-sales and delivery teams to ensure clean execution handoff
Technical Focus (Core to the Role):
This is not a generalist networking role — the focus is on modern, scalable, software-defined architecture:

Data Center: Spine/Leaf architectures leveraging VXLAN-EVPN overlays

Network Virtualization & Fabric: EVPN, multi-vendor fabrics, segmentation strategies

Automation & Programmability: Infrastructure as Code, API-driven networking, tools like Ansible, Terraform, Python

SD-WAN / SASE: Design and deployment of enterprise SD-WAN solutions (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.)

Campus & Wireless Modernization: SDA, cloud-managed networking, segmentation

Cloud Networking: Integration with AWS, Azure, GCP (hybrid / multi-cloud connectivity)
Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years designing and implementing enterprise networking solutions
- 5+ years in a pre-sales / solutions architecture role within a VAR, OEM, or integrator
- Deep experience with modern data center and WAN architectures (EVPN/VXLAN, SD-WAN)
- Strong background across leading OEMs (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
- Experience supporting large, complex enterprise environments and strategic deals
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders
- Proven track record of owning and closing technical aspects of enterprise opportunities
Pluses:
- CCIE, CCDE, JNCIE, PCNSE, or similar advanced certifications
- Experience with network automation frameworks and tooling
- Prior leadership or mentorship experience (Player-Coach trajectory)
