As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Trust & Estate Tax Director, Principal, or Partner to help lead and grow our Private Client Services practice. The Opportunity

As a Tax Director, Principal, or Partner within our Trust & Estate practice, you will serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families while helping lead one of the firm's most strategic growth areas.

You will provide advanced tax planning and consulting services involving trusts, estates, wealth transfer strategies, closely held businesses, and family office structures. In addition, you will play a leadership role in developing client relationships, mentoring professionals, and helping drive the continued growth of the practice.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex trust, estate, gift, and high-net-worth individual tax engagements
  • Develop sophisticated wealth transfer and estate planning strategies for multi-generational families
  • Advise clients on trust structures, dynasty trusts, GRATs, SLATs, ILITs, charitable planning vehicles, and generation-skipping transfer tax matters
  • Review fiduciary income tax returns, estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and complex individual tax returns
  • Provide guidance on business succession planning, liquidity events, and ownership transitions
  • Partner with attorneys, family offices, wealth advisors, and other trusted advisors to develop integrated planning strategies
  • Consult on trust funding, trust administration, fiduciary accounting, and beneficiary planning matters
  • Assist clients in navigating federal and state estate, gift, and fiduciary tax issues
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships while identifying opportunities for expanded services
  • Mentor and develop managers, senior managers, and emerging leaders within the practice
  • Contribute to practice development initiatives, thought leadership, and strategic growth efforts

  • Family LLC Structures
  • Grantor and Non-Grantor Trust Planning
  • GRATs, SLATs, IDGTs, CRTs, CLTs, and ILITs
  • Estate Freeze Techniques
  • Business Succession Planning
  • Trust Funding and Administration
  • Fiduciary Accounting Concepts
  • Basis Planning and Step-Up Strategies
  • Multi-State Fiduciary Taxation
  • Charitable Planning and Private Foundation Structures
  • Family Office and UHNW Client Advisory Services
  • Tax Implications of M&A, Liquidity Events, and Ownership Transitions
  • Advanced Planning for Closely Held Business Owners


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • CPA required; MST, JD, LLM, or other advanced credentials are highly valued
  • 12+ years of progressive tax experience within public accounting
  • Significant experience leading Trust & Estate or Private Client Services engagements
  • Strong technical background serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced wealth transfer planning strategies
  • Experience reviewing complex fiduciary, estate, gift, and individual tax returns
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships
  • Prior experience leading teams and mentoring tax professionals
  • Interest in practice development, business development, and long-term firm leadership
