Position: Tax Supervisor

Location: Fully remote - open to candidates anywhere in the U.S.

Salary: $115k - $135k+

Compensation Includes: Annual bonuses, full benefits, 401(k) match, generous PTO

Position Overview

The Tax Supervisor will take ownership of engagements, review complex returns, mentor staff, and serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients. You’ll work directly with firm leadership on tax planning, research, and client advisory work - all while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, nonprofit, and multistate tax returns
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide feedback to staff and senior associates
  • Manage engagements from planning through completion, ensuring accuracy, deadlines, and budget adherence
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through clear communication and proactive support
  • Attend client meetings and serve as a trusted advisor
  • Support managers and partners with tax planning, research, and technical analysis
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies, professional standards, and quality control guidelines


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on tax
  • At least 1 year of reviewing/supervising experience
  • Active CPA required (EA candidates considered)
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance and planning
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing a broad range of returns (corporate, partnership, fiduciary, nonprofit, individual)
  • Proficiency in tax research and issue resolution
  • Experience with UltraTax preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
