Remote Tax Director - HNW/UHNW

Location: Fully Remote (candidates must live in the U.S.)

Compensation: Up to $200K+ base salary with annual bonus

We are a rapidly growing wealth management and family office organization that is seeking a Tax Director to join our team and support high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients with complex tax compliance, planning, and advisory needs. This role will focus on partnership taxation, individual tax matters, trusts, estates, and integrated wealth planning strategies. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working with complex tax structures and enjoy serving as a trusted advisor to their clients.

Overview

The Tax Director will oversee tax strategy, compliance, and advisory services for assigned UHNW clients. This individual will work closely with internal teams across tax, accounting, investment, and wealth planning to provide an integrated family office experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax compliance and advisory services for HNW clients, including individual, partnership, trust, estate, and corporate matters
• Review complex tax returns, projections, and planning opportunities
• Advise clients on tax strategies related to investments, partnerships, and pass-through entities
• Manage client relationships and collaborate with internal teams to deliver coordinated solutions
• Mentor team members and support continued growth of the tax practice

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required
• 7+ years of tax experience preferred
• Strong experience with HNW individual taxation
• Significant partnership/pass-through experience required
• Experience with trusts, estates, and complex tax planning preferred
• Prior experience in public accounting, family office, or private client services preferred
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
