A nationally growing CPA and advisory platform is expanding its Partnership & Closely Held Business Tax practice and hiring across multiple levels, ranging from Tax Manager and Senior Manager up through Principal / Practice Leader.


The practice focuses heavily on partnerships, pass-through entities, operating businesses, investment structures, and complex ownership groups across a wide range of industries including real estate, professional services, private equity, family-owned businesses, and entrepreneurial ventures.


This is an excellent opportunity for tax professionals who enjoy complex flow-through structures, strategic planning, and working closely with business owners and leadership teams - not just compliance preparation.

Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager – Partnerships & Pass-Throughs

Ideal for professionals with strong public accounting experience focused on partnerships, operating entities, and closely held businesses.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex partnership, S-Corp, and pass-through tax engagements
  • Reviewing returns and workpapers for multi-entity ownership structures
  • Participating in tax planning and consulting projects
  • Working directly with business owners and leadership teams
  • Mentoring associates and senior staff
  • Assisting with entity structuring and operational tax considerations


Typical compensation range:

$140K–$230K+ depending on level, technical depth, and leadership experience.


Tax Principal / Practice Leader – Partnerships & Closely Held Businesses

Ideal for senior tax leaders with deep technical expertise in partnership taxation, pass-through structures, and complex business advisory.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading sophisticated tax planning and consulting engagements
  • Advising ownership groups, founders, investors, and operating businesses
  • Overseeing complex multi-entity and partnership structures
  • Driving strategic growth within the practice
  • Mentoring and developing future leaders internally
  • Helping shape the long-term direction of the firm’s business tax practice


Compensation:

Base salaries for senior leadership/principal-level hires can range from the mid-$200Ks to north of $300K+, depending on experience, technical specialization, leadership background, and business development capabilities.


Additional performance incentives and long-term growth opportunities also available.



Ideal Backgrounds

  • CPA or EA required
  • Strong public accounting experience focused on:
  • Partnerships
  • Pass-through entities
  • Multi-entity business structures
  • Closely held businesses
  • Real estate partnerships and operating entities
  • Strong technical understanding of partnership allocations, basis, and flow-through taxation
  • Experience managing complex client relationships and engagements
  • MST or advanced technical specialization is a plus
