Tax Manager - Trust & Estate | Remote CPA | High Net Worth | $130K-$190K

Compensation: $130k-$190k base

Location: 100% Remote (East & Central Coast preferred)


Remote Trust & Estate Tax Manager position for a CPA or EA with high-net-worth experience. Join a nearly 100-year-old independent CPA firm (no private equity) specializing in estate planning, wealth transfer, and trust taxation. This work-from-home opportunity offers $130K-$190K base salary plus incentives for an experienced tax professional to serve HNW families in a firm where the average tenure exceeds 9.5 years. Clear partner track or director track advancement, reasonable busy season (1,300-1,600 billable hours), and sophisticated estate and gift tax planning work.

What You'll Do

  • Manage complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals (1040), trusts (1041), estates, and gift tax returns (709)
  • Provide sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer, and trust advisory services
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with HNW families
  • Lead estate administration and post-mortem tax planning engagements
  • Mentor and develop staff accountants and seniors
  • Participate in business development activities and client retention initiatives
  • Stay current on tax law changes and estate planning strategies


What You'll Bring

  • 5-7+ years of public accounting experience with trust and estate tax focus
  • Strong background in high-net-worth individual, trust, and estate taxation
  • CPA or EA required
  • Experience from regional or mid-sized firms preferred
  • Excellent client communication and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to handle complex, multi-generational wealth scenarios


Total Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $130,000 - $190,000
  • Sign-on bonus may be available
