A growing, independent accounting and advisory firm is looking to add a Private Equity Tax Manager to its team. This is an opportunity to join a well-established firm with a broad client base and a strong focus on delivering sophisticated tax and advisory services to investment and alternative investment clients.
The ideal candidate will have 5–7+ years of public accounting and tax experience, along with a CPA and strong experience working directly with Private Equity, Hedge Fund, Fund-of-Funds, and other alternative investment clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage tax engagements for Private Equity and alternative investment clients
- Oversee tax compliance and planning for funds, partnerships, and related entities
- Review complex federal and state tax returns and related workpapers
- Advise clients on tax implications of investments, transactions, and organizational structures
- Manage client relationships and serve as a key point of contact
- Review and develop work performed by staff and senior-level team members
- Assist with planning, research, and special tax projects
- Collaborate with other tax and advisory professionals on complex client matters
Qualifications:
- Active CPA license required
- Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred
- 5–7+ years of public accounting and tax experience
- Strong current experience servicing Private Equity and/or alternative investment clients
- Experience with fund structures, partnerships, hedge funds, or fund-of-funds
- Strong technical tax, communication, and client-management skills
- Candidates seeking remote flexibility must demonstrate strong employment tenure
Location & Flexibility:
- Hybrid opportunities available for candidates located near an office

Compensation:
- $120,000–$180,000 base salary
- Annual bonus opportunity
- Performance reviews approximately every six months, with potential for compensation increases
