Tax Manager - M&A & Transaction Advisory

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Compensation: $140,000 – $170,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits

They serve a diverse client base across industries including Manufacturing, Real Estate, Healthcare, Banking, Private Equity, and Technology. The firm operates as a full-service platform offering Tax, Assurance, Accounting, Family Office, Consulting, and Advisory services, allowing teams to work across a wide range of engagements and client needs.


As the firm continues to grow, they are making a strong investment in their Transaction Advisory and M&A Tax practice. This role is focused on transaction advisory work - supporting corporate and private equity clients across buy-side and sell-side deals.


The Role

This position sits within the firm’s Tax Advisory group and will focus on leading tax due diligence and structuring engagements tied to M&A activity. You’ll be working directly with clients, private equity groups, and internal leadership on active deals - not compliance-heavy work.


Responsibilities

  • Lead buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence engagements
  • Support transaction structuring and tax modeling
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
  • Analyze corporate and partnership tax implications (Subchapter C & K)
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients and senior stakeholders
  • Review transaction documents and provide tax-related insights
  • Manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
  • Partner with senior leadership on complex technical matters
  • Mentor junior staff and review deliverables


Qualifications

  • CPA or JD required
  • 4+ years of public accounting experience
  • Experience in transaction tax, M&A tax, or tax due diligence
  • Exposure to corporate and/or private equity clients preferred
  • Strong understanding of U.S. federal corporate and partnership tax
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and managing multiple projects
