About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our industry-leading Trust & Estate practice. You'll work with high-net-worth individuals and families on complex tax planning and compliance while managing client relationships and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex fiduciary income tax returns (Forms 1041, 1040, 706, 709)
- Provide tax planning and consulting for trusts, estates, and beneficiaries
- Advise on estate and gift tax matters and wealth transfer strategies
- Collaborate with estate planning attorneys and financial advisors
- Research complex tax issues and prepare technical memoranda
- Manage multiple client engagements and supervise staff
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA license (or actively pursuing)
- 5-7 years of tax experience with significant trust and estate focus
- Strong technical knowledge of trust, estate, and wealth transfer taxation
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Taxation or LL.M. in Taxation
- Experience with ultra-high-net-worth clients and complex family structures
- Multi-state fiduciary income tax knowledge
