Audit Senior Associate – Investment Companies (Fully Remote)

THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Senior Associate with 3–5 years of experience auditing investment companies, venture capital funds, or private equity funds. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with dynamic clients, lead engagements, and collaborate directly with managers and partners—all in a fully remote environment with no travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute audit engagements from start to finish, including risk assessments, testing, and reporting.
• Supervise and review the work of associates and interns, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with clients throughout engagements.
• Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to managers and partners.
• Ensure compliance with auditing and accounting standards (GAAP, GAAS, etc.).
• Contribute to process improvements and a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• CPA license required.
• 3–5 years of public accounting experience with a focus on investment companies (VC, PE, or funds).
• Experience with additional industries (technology, middle market, nonprofit, or government) is a plus.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple engagements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
