Client Accounting Services (CAS) Manager – Remote

A growing, full service CPA and advisory firm is hiring a Client Accounting Services Manager to join its expanding CAS practice. This is a fully remote position offering a $120K - $140K base salary, performance bonus, flexible scheduling and shortened summer hours.
The firm has built a strong CAS practice supporting small to middle market businesses across a range of industries. This role will manage a portfolio of clients while overseeing month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and other controllership level services.
Beyond overseeing the core accounting and reporting work, the CAS Manager will work directly with business owners to help them understand their financial performance, improve processes and reporting, and make better informed business decisions. The role will also supervise and develop CAS staff while working closely with the firm’s tax, audit and advisory teams.
What You Will Do
- Manage a portfolio of CAS clients across multiple industries
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business owners and client leadership teams
- Oversee month-end and year-end close, general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and profitability analysis
- Review staff work while mentoring and developing CAS team members
- Improve accounting processes, internal controls, reporting and technology
- Coordinate with tax, audit and other internal teams to provide complete client service
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- CAS, outsourced accounting or other multi-client accounting experience
- Experience managing multiple client engagements and deadlines
- Strong month-end close, general ledger and financial reporting experience
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- QuickBooks Online experience required
- Sage Intacct experience is a plus
- Experience working with professional services clients is preferred
- Previous staff supervision, review or mentoring experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- CPA preferred but not required
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills
