A growing, privately held multifamily builder/developer is seeking an experienced Lead Multifamily Superintendent to take ownership of a major 300+ unit ground-up development in Fayetteville, NC.

Headquartered along the Gulf Coast, the company has established a strong presence in the Southeast and is placing a significant strategic focus on North Carolina, with additional multifamily developments already in the pipeline following this project.

This is an opportunity for a Superintendent who wants more than a jobsite assignment. You’ll have the opportunity to take a leadership role on a high-profile project while positioning yourself for continued work on future developments throughout North Carolina.

The Opportunity

As Lead Superintendent, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day field operations, schedule, quality, safety, subcontractor coordination, and successful delivery of a 300+ unit multifamily community.

You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, development team, design professionals, subcontractors, and ownership to drive the project from groundbreaking through completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead all field operations for a 300+ unit ground-up multifamily development
• Establish and maintain project schedules and sequencing
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Maintain a strong focus on quality control and workmanship
• Enforce project safety standards and company policies
• Coordinate inspections, deliveries, site logistics, and construction activities
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget
• Review plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Conduct regular subcontractor and coordination meetings
• Track project progress and communicate effectively with the project management team
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
• Partner with the Project Manager and leadership team to deliver the project safely, on schedule, and to a high standard
• Help establish strong field operations and relationships for future projects in the North Carolina market

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a seasoned multifamily Superintendent who understands the complexity of large-scale ground-up construction and knows how to lead a jobsite.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant experience as a Superintendent on ground-up multifamily projects
• Experience managing projects of 300+ units or comparable scale
• Strong knowledge of multifamily construction processes, sequencing, and scheduling
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and field activities simultaneously
• Strong understanding of plans, specifications, inspections, and building codes
• A proactive approach to identifying and solving construction issues
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, and schedule
• The confidence and professionalism to represent the builder/developer in the field
