Senior Tax Manager / Tax Manager – Remote (Upstate NY Based Firm)

The Opportunity

In this fully remote role where you can be based in any time zone across the U.S., you will deliver tax and advisory services to business clients, primarily focusing on pass-through entities (S Corps, LLCs, Partnerships) and their owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tax planning, compliance, and consulting for pass-through entities and high-net-worth individual owners
• Manage client engagements and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of staff and seniors
• Perform technical tax reviews and help resolve complex tax matters
• Proactively identify and address client needs and opportunities
• Conduct and clearly communicate tax research findings
• Develop innovative solutions to reduce client tax liabilities or improve operational efficiencies

KEY THINGS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Education:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (required)
• Master’s in Accounting or Taxation (preferred)

Experience:

• 10+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience
• Expertise in individual, partnership, S Corp, and private foundation tax matters
• Prior experience managing teams and engagements

Certifications:

• Active CPA or EA required
• Additional certifications a plus
