As we continue to expand our services and deepen client relationships, we are seeking a Tax Manager who will play a key leadership role in our tax department.


What You’ll Be Doing

As Tax Manager, you will:

  • Oversee and manage a portfolio of tax engagements—federal, state, and local—including individual, corporate, partnership..
  • Perform tax planning and advisory work: estimate tax liabilities, identify optimization opportunities, prepare projections, and advise clients on tax‑efficient strategies.
  • Lead the review process: ensure all tax returns and related deliverables meet high quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train staff (senior associates, associates, tax preparers), delegating work appropriately and fostering professional growth.
  • Help manage client relationships: be a point of contact for clients, respond to inquiries, maintain ongoing communication, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Manage deadlines and workflows: plan engagements, allocate resources, monitor status, ensure timely filings, and escalate issues.
  • Conduct tax research on complex or emerging issues, interpret new regulations, and develop memos or guidance for internal and client use.
  • Assist firm leadership in business development and growth of the tax practice: e.g., preparing proposals, helping identify new service opportunities, possibly participating in networking.
  • Contribute to improving departmental processes, including use of technology, software tools, and efficient workflow practices.


What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • CPA license in good standing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field (Master’s in Tax/Accounting is a plus).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in public accounting tax work, with progressive responsibility; at least 2 years in a supervisory or review role.
  • Strong technical knowledge: federal, state, and local tax laws; experience with a variety of entity types (corporations, partnerships, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to explain complex tax issues clearly to clients and staff.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor/inspire a team.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and integrity.


Preferred/Plus

  • Experience with Real Estate/Oil & Gas a major plus
  • Strong client advisory / planning experience.
  • Familiarity with technology tools for tax research, compliance, and workflow management.
