VP, Engineering & Managed Services Operations

A growing MSP/MSSP platform is seeking a VP-level leader to oversee Engineering, Managed Services Operations, SNOC/NOC/SOC functions, Service Delivery, and Infrastructure Operations.

This role is heavily focused on operational leadership, engineering excellence, automation, and scaling technical teams. The right person will have a strong background leading enterprise infrastructure, security operations, and managed services environments while driving consistency, efficiency, and customer outcomes.

This is a player-coach leadership role. While the position carries executive-level responsibility for engineering and operations, the ideal candidate will remain highly engaged in technical strategy, architecture, complex escalations, automation initiatives, and the evolution of the firm's enterprise networking and security capabilities. This is not a purely administrative management position.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Lead Engineering, SNOC, NOC, SOC, and Managed Services teams
• Build and scale operational processes and service delivery frameworks
• Drive automation initiatives across infrastructure and security operations
• Improve operational metrics, utilization, service quality, and customer experience
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and service development
• Mentor and develop engineering leadership and technical teams
• Oversee escalation management and complex customer environments

Ideal Background

• Experience leading engineering and operations teams within an MSP, MSSP, VAR, or technology services organization
• Strong enterprise infrastructure background across networking, security, cloud, and complex multi-customer environments
• Hands-on technical background in enterprise networking, infrastructure, security, or cloud environments with the ability to engage credibly with engineers, architects, and customers on complex technical initiatives
• Experience managing NOC, SOC, or SNOC organizations
• Track record of building and scaling engineering teams
• Experience implementing automation and operational efficiency initiatives
• Experience leveraging automation, orchestration, and AI-assisted operations to improve efficiency and scalability
• Executive-level leadership experience with responsibility for technical delivery and operational performance
