Our team of 50+ professionals works exclusively with private foundations, trade associations, membership organizations, advocacy groups, and Uniform Guidance clients, and we've built our team, our systems, and our culture entirely around doing that work at the highest level.

We're growing, and we're hiring an Audit Senior to join a remote-first team where specialization isn't a niche—it's the entire identity of the firm. No pivoting to commercial clients in busy season. No being the "nonprofit person" in a room full of generalists. Just deep, sophisticated work with complex organizations alongside people who've spent their entire careers in this space.

The Role:

As an Audit Senior, you'll take ownership of engagements from planning through issuance, leading fieldwork, and coordinating directly with clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Leading audit engagements across a diverse NFP client base—foundations, associations, membership organizations, and federally-funded entities
• Planning and executing fieldwork on Uniform Guidance (Single Audit) engagements, including testing federal programs and compliance requirements
• Preparing and reviewing workpapers, lead schedules, and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAS and Yellow Book standards where applicable
• Drafting financial statements and footnotes specific to nonprofit GAAP (ASC 958), including net asset classifications, functional expense allocations, and related disclosures
• Identifying audit issues, documenting findings, and communicating them clearly to managers and partners
• Collaborating with engagement managers to keep projects on timeline and within budget
• Mentoring and reviewing the work of audit associates and staff, providing real-time feedback in a remote environment
• Building direct relationships with client finance teams and executive leadership
• Contributing to internal quality control and helping refine engagement processes as we scale

What We're Looking For:

• Active CPA license required
• 3–4+ years of audit experience in public accounting
• NFP audit experience is non-negotiable—we need someone who already understands the sector's GAAP nuances, compliance landscape, and client dynamics
• Uniform Guidance / Single Audit experience is a strong plus
• Self-directed and organized—someone who can manage their own workload remotely without needing hand-holding
• Strong written communication skills; client-facing deliverables are a regular part of the role

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation up to $130K depending on experience, plus 401(k) with match, medical/dental with employer contribution, and performance-based bonuses.
