Location: Hybrid | Office located ~45 minutes east of Los Angeles

About the Firm

We are a well-established and growing mid-sized CPA firm serving a diverse client base that includes closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and multi-entity structures. Our firm culture emphasizes collaboration, professional development, and work-life balance. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join our leadership team.


The Opportunity

This is a hybrid role offering meaningful flexibility, exposure to complex tax matters, and a clear path for continued advancement. The ideal candidate enjoys client interaction, mentoring staff, and taking ownership of engagements while working in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive tax planning and advisory services
  • Oversee multiple engagements, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery
  • Research complex tax issues and develop practical solutions
  • Mentor and develop senior associates and staff
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on process improvements and firm growth initiatives


Qualifications

  • CPA license required
  • 6+ years of public accounting tax experience (manager-level candidates); 8+ years for senior manager consideration
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal and multi-state taxation
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead engagements
  • Experience mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
