Tax Senior Associate - Family Office Practice

Location: San Jose, CA

Compensation: Up to $135,000 base

About Us

We are an established boutique family office practice specializing in comprehensive tax planning and advisory services for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and their multi-million and billion-dollar businesses. Led by experienced partners, we provide personalized service to an exclusive client base that includes several multi-billionaire families.

This is your opportunity to move beyond traditional public accounting and develop true advisory skills while working with some of the wealthiest families in the country.

Why This Role is Unique

Learn the Full Scope: Understand how tax implications work across every aspect of a client's financial life—from business operations to real estate acquisitions to multi-generational wealth transfer. When a client buys a property, you'll help structure it to minimize tax burdens. This is advisory work, not just compliance.

Be Seen & Heard: Unlike Big 4 firms where you're just a number, here you're a valued team member with direct access to partners. Have a question? Walk into a partner's office—we have an open-door policy.

Fast-Track Your Career: With the firm's continued growth and expansion, there's tremendous opportunity for rapid advancement into senior and management roles.

Sophisticated Work: Clients have a minimum of $50M in liquidable assets, which means complex, intellectually stimulating work every day.

  • 3-5 years of tax experience, preferably with high-net-worth individuals

  • Desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment
