Senior Audit Associate – Construction | Real Estate | Manufacturing

Location: Remote - in either NC, SC or VA

The Role:

We’re seeking a highly motivated Audit Senior to lead and support audit engagements for our clients in the construction, real estate, and/or manufacturing industries. In this role, you will be a key player in supervising engagements from planning through completion, mentoring junior staff, and building strong client relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in construction, real estate, or manufacturing.
  • Oversee fieldwork and manage audit teams to ensure timely and accurate engagement delivery.
  • Review workpapers, financial statements, and technical accounting issues.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during engagements.
  • Assist in the development and training of junior team members.
  • Stay current on industry and regulatory developments affecting clients.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • CPA license or CPA-eligible.
  • 2+ years of recent public accounting experience, ideally with exposure to construction, real estate, or manufacturing clients.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and internal control principles.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with audit software (e.g., CCH ProSystem fx Engagement, CaseWare, etc.) is a plus.
