The Role
As a Tax Manager, you will lead client engagements, mentor staff, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients while helping support the continued growth of the firm’s tax practice.
You’ll work closely with partners and firm leadership while gaining meaningful exposure to a broad client base and increasing leadership opportunities within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review complex tax engagements for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and fiduciary entities
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and trusted advisory service
- Provide tax planning, research, and strategic guidance to clients
- Mentor, coach, and develop associates, seniors, and supervisors
- Review work prepared by staff to ensure quality and compliance
- Collaborate with partners on engagement strategy and client deliverables
- Manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and add greater value to clients
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- CPA license preferred
- Strong experience reviewing complex tax returns and managing engagements
- Proven leadership and staff mentoring experience
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Desire to grow long-term within a highly respected regional firm
- Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
