Title: Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager (HNW)

Location: 100% Remote (U.S.-based)

Compensation: $140,000 - $200,000 base salary (DOE), annual discretionary bonuses, full benefits, 4 weeks PTO

About Us: We’re a well-established, Top 200 CPA & advisory firm with a dedicated focus on private wealth, trust, estate work, and closely-held business work. We work closely with high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational families, and closely held businesses, providing a mix of tax compliance and forward-looking planning around wealth preservation, estate strategies, and complex ownership structures. Our work tends to be more advisory in nature, with an emphasis on building long-term client relationships rather than operating in a high-volume environment.

From a cultural standpoint, our firm is known for being collaborative and team-oriented, with a practical approach to workload expectations. Busy season hours are typically around 50-55 hours per week, and there’s a consistent focus on flexibility, sustainability, and creating an environment where people can grow without burning out.

That said, we're actively looking to add an experienced HNW Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to our growing Private Wealth Team!

If you’re ready to move beyond a compliance-heavy role and into a more relationship-driven, advisory-focused environment, let’s start a conversation.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held entities
  • Review complex individual, trust & estate, gift, and business tax returns
  • Provide proactive tax planning with a focus on wealth preservation, estate, and gift strategies
  • Partner closely with clients, attorneys, and financial advisors on integrated planning
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on complex tax matters for private clients
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and manage risk across multi-entity structures
  • Mentor and review work of junior staff
  • Stay current on evolving tax laws impacting HNW individuals, trusts, and estates

What We're Looking for:

  • 5-10+ years of public accounting & tax experience
  • Strong technical experience with 1040, 1041, and 709 taxation (trust & estate experience is key)
  • Exposure to partnerships and closely held entities
  • Experience working with ultra/high-net-worth individuals and family groups
  • Ability to build relationships and operate as a primary client contact
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Active CPA, EA, or J.D. required

What We Offer

  • Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 (DOE)
  • Annual discretionary bonuses
  • 401(k) with match
  • 4 weeks PTO + additional time off
  • Flexible schedules + Summer Fridays (32-hour weeks/offseason)
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage
  • Partner track opportunities for high performers
  • Team events, referral bonuses, and much more
  • 100% remote schedule
